WELCOME TO
TENGU TATTOO

Tengu Tattoo is a private studio built on the belief that tattooing is deeply personal—and that the experience should feel just as meaningful as the artwork itself. Located on our family’s third-generation farm, the studio was created as a departure from the traditional tattoo environment: quieter, more intentional, and rooted in comfort and creativity.

Founded by tattoo artist and visual creator Thaddeus Paskey, Tengu Tattoo is a space where collaboration, craftsmanship, and care come together. Each tattoo is custom-designed through a thoughtful, one-on-one process, with a focus on strong structure, natural flow with the body, and imagery built to stand the test of time. Whether the work is small and subtle or large and painterly, the goal is always the same—to create something that feels right, lasting, and truly yours.

Beyond tattooing, Tengu Tattoo is also a place to explore the broader creative world behind the work. The studio serves as a home for original fine art, prints, and curated tools and materials—offering a deeper look into the evolving practice, inspirations, and mediums that shape everything created here.

THE ARTIST

I’m Thaddeus Paskey—the artist behind Tengu Tattoo. Tattooing has been part of my life for many years, alongside a lifelong dedication to drawing, painting, and visual storytelling. While my style continues to evolve, my focus stays consistent: creating tattoos with depth, strong structure, and a natural flow that feels right on the body and holds up over time.
I approach tattooing as a collaborative process. Every piece starts with a conversation, taking the time to understand the person, the idea, and how the design should live with the body. Whether the work is small and subtle or large and immersive, black and grey or full color, my goal is always the same—to create something thoughtful, personal, and built to last.

Tengu Tattoo is also shaped by life beyond the studio. I’m a dad, a hobby farmer, and someone who finds inspiration in movement, quiet moments, and the everyday rhythms of life. Working from our family’s third-generation farm allows me to create in a way that feels grounded and intentional, and that sense of balance carries into everything I make.

Beyond tattooing, I explore a wide range of mediums including graphite, charcoal, pastels, oils, markers, digital work, and photography. These practices continue to inform my tattoo work, keeping it curious, layered, and always evolving. Tengu Tattoo is a reflection of that process—a place where art, craft, and real connection come together.

THE STUDIO

Tengu Tattoo is a private, appointment-based studio created as a creative sanctuary—quiet, comfortable, and intentionally separate from the pace of traditional tattoo shops. Set on our family’s third-generation farm, the studio lives in its own independent building, offering a professional, focused environment while still feeling grounded and relaxed.

Inside, the space is bright and welcoming, with natural light, rich black floors, and artwork throughout—more like a small museum than a conventional studio. The setting is designed to help you slow down, feel at ease, and stay present in the creative process.

Tattooing here is thoughtful and collaborative. Each project is custom-designed through one-on-one conversation, with attention to structure, flow, and longevity. Whether the work is bold and large-scale or subtle and refined, the focus is on creating tattoos that feel personal, intentional, and built to last.
Because this is a private studio, everything is done by appointment. The pace is unhurried, the atmosphere respectful, and the experience centered on care—for the art, the process, and the people involved.

THE ART

The artwork created at Tengu Tattoo is an extension of the same curiosity, discipline, and care that guide the tattoo work. Drawing and making art are daily practices here—ways of exploring form, texture, and ideas beyond the tattoo machine. Each piece is approached as its own work, created to be lived with over time rather than rushed toward a finished result.

Thad works across a range of mediums, including graphite, charcoal, pastels, oils, markers, digital tools, and photography. His themes often return to human anatomy studies, Japanese-style drawings, and moments of playful or unexpected imagery. This openness to experimentation allows the work to stay fluid and evolving, with each medium informing the others.

At its core, this practice is about making art for the sake of making—slowing down, paying attention, and letting ideas develop naturally. In addition to original works and limited pieces, commissioned artwork is welcomed, with a collaborative approach that balances personal meaning and artistic integrity.
